Letter from Bernard Ralph Maybeck to Edward H. Bennett confirming that a sum of money had been awarded to Bennett by Phoebe A. Hearst so that Bennett could attend school at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris. Maybeck's post script message reveals…

Edward H. Bennett's notes on Daniel H. Burnham, written from 1917 to 1918, were sent to Charles Moore and later included in the second volume of his 1921 Burnham biography "Daniel H. Burnham, Architect, Planner of Cities."
